Contractor Registration
This document is designed to help all visitors to understand the measures in place to protect your Health, Safety, Security and the environment visiting our site.
TW Engineering, as the owner and occupier of its premises, owes a “common duty of care” to its visitors and the general public, i.e. a duty to take such care as is reasonable in the circumstances, to see that visitors or anyone using our service will be safe in using the premises to which they are invited or permitted access.
Nothing is more important than safety. All accidents and injuries are preventable. Every task must be performed with safety in mind. TW Engineering aims to provide a safe and healthy working environment.
This document MUST be completed prior to or upon arrival at TW’s premises. Each section must be completed and a copy of the completed document emailed to [email protected]. This document not only records your attendance on site but also confirms your agreement to abide by the requirements of this document.

Section B – First Aid
For all first aid requirements please contact reception by dialling 0. Give the extent of the injury and the location of the person or persons. A qualified first aider will be sent to the scene. All accidents or near misses must be reported.
Section C – Fire
On discovering a fire
• Sound the fire alarm by breaking the glass at a call point, these are situated by stairwells and fire exits.
• Evacuate the building from the nearest available exit and go to the Fire Assembly Point. (see site plan overleaf)
• Report to your designated contact (or representative) stating type of fire and its location.
On hearing the fire alarm (siren)
• Immediately the fire alarm sounds, you must evacuate the building via the nearest fire exit ensuring that all doors are closed behind you.
• Do not run or panic.
• Go to the Fire Assembly Point. (see site plan overleaf)
• Report to your designated contact (or representative) to be checked against the visitor’s book.
• Do not return to the building until you are instructed that you may do so.
Section D – Disabled
If you are disabled and feel that you may require assistance during an evacuation of the building, please advise reception staff on signing the visitor’s book, so that arrangements can be made to assist with your evacuation.

Section E – Workshop Safety
Whilst in the workshop areas you are required to wear safety glasses (provided), hearing protection (available upon request) and appropriate safety footwear should you not be wearing the appropriate footwear please inform your designated contact (or representative) so they may advise you to stay within the confines of the designated gangways in order to avoid any potential hazards.
Section F – Warehouse and External Areas
Whilst in the warehouse and external areas all personnel and visitors must be wearing high visibility vests and safety footear.
Section G – No Smoking
TW Engineering operates a ‘no smoking’ policy (this includes Vapes). If you want to smoke or vape then this must be done beyond TW’s boundary fence and NOT on the premises.
Section H – Environmental
✓ Keep the site tidy and collect waste regularly
✓ Segregate waste before putting it into the designated containers / skips
✓ Ensure watercourses, gullies and drains are protected from any nearby works
✓ If a spill occurs stop work immediately and notify your designated contact
✓ Dispose of ALL contaminated materials correctly – any containing substances such as oil, diesel or paint should be disposed of as hazardous waste
 DO NOT ignore a spill!! STOP WORK and ACT immediately
✓ Actively reduce the amount of waste created on site
